Also, the C40 Large Cities Climate Summit is happening in Seoul, where today, the Clinton Climate Initiative launched the Climate Positive Development Program in collaboration with the U.S. Green Building Council.

3.2 billion people, over half the world's population live in cities, and that figure may hit 70 percent by 2050. Cities account for more than two-thirds of global energy use and greenhouse gas emission, but occupy just 2 percent of the world's landmass.

The Carbon Positive project recognizes sixteen founding projects on six continents that demonstrate Climate Positivestrategies.

As the Obama administration stimulates the economy, it is great to see the beginning of carbon positive solutions taking hold in cities throughout the world. Scale it up.
