A few days ago it seemed as though there were suddenly 12 planets. Our entire elementary school education was thrown into confusion. What else might have been wrong? But, wait! There aren't 12 planets. Today, there 8 planets. Still confusing, but closer to the original number. None of the new weird ones made the cut, and neither did Pluto, after many years faking it. But you never know: next week there might be 14 planets. That's what's great about astronomy. You never know how many planets there might be next time you check.
