The internet has a new hero
Sally Yates, a magna cum laude graduate from the University of Georgia School of Law, and a woman who served in the Justice Department for more than 27 years, working under both Republican and Democratic administrations, apparently doesn’t understand the basics of law. So, on Monday, while testifying in front of a Senate Judiciary subcommittee, several men attempted to explain it to her.
During Yates’ testimony, John Neely Kennedy, a Republican junior senator from Louisiana, questioned Yates about her handling of President Donald Trump’s travel ban, interrupting Yates to say, “I don’t mean any disrespect, but who appointed you to the United States Supreme Court?” However, much to his chagrin, Yates is no shrinking violet.

And Yates’ epic retorts didn’t stop there. Senator Ted Cruz further questioned her understanding of the Constitution in regard to the travel ban.

Oh, and when Senator John Cornyn attempted to dress down Yates for standing up to Trump’s unlawful executive action, Yates simply had this to say:
