State of the Union Tonight

President Bush will give his State of the Union speech tonight at 9pm EST. Here is what he's up against. This past Saturday was the third-deadliest day for U.S. soldiers in Iraq. The circumstances surrounding two of the largest attacks are extremely depressing. Terrorists dressed in U.S. garb were able to sneak onto a military base and a helicopter was shot down by a shoulder-fired missile. Meanwhile, his approval rating is the lowest of any president since Nixon, Al Qaeda is mocking him, most Americans are opposed to the escalation, and GOP support is fading.
