Texting, Driving, and Where it's Illegal to Do Both at Once

NPR has a great interactive map that shows which states have laws against texting and driving.

I assume laws like this (and some better ways of enforcing them) are going to keep spreading around the country, because it seems clear that our technologies are only going to become more prevalent, immersive, and distracting. Or maybe we'll have robot chauffeurs soon, and it won't be a problem any more. Or maybe (fingers crossed) we'll get awesome, comprehensive high-speed rail.
