A passenger on a train in Sydney, Australia, picked the wrong time to go off on a hateful rant directed at a Muslim woman. Her ignorant statements were overheard by fellow passenger, Stacey Eden, who stood up and defended the young woman. The altercation was caught on video and appears to show Eden giving the rude passenger a much-needed lesson in cultural awareness and manners.
She ends the argument with a simple line that we’ve all heard a million times since we were children: “If you’ve got nothing nice to say, don’t say anything.”
Sometimes people just need to be reminded of what they should already know.
