This is good news: Yesterday, Admiral Mike Mullen, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Defense Secretary Robert Gates told the Senate Armed Services Committee that they think we should end "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" and allow gays and lesbians to serve openly in the military. Colin Powell supports the idea as well.Now it's just up to the Senate to make it happen. That should be easy, right?
