In “Bellypaint,” a pregnant woman undergoes an artistic transformation to celebrate the life growing inside her.

Photographer Leonie Versantvoort and bodypaint artist Marieke Crone used a pregnant woman’s body as their canvas to create a beautiful representation of what a growing fetus looks like inside of its mother. They call it Bellypaint and, although not exactly anatomically correct, the end result is a unique and beautiful look at the development of life.
