Best Buy's Amazing E-waste Recycling Program

I don't know how we've missed this, but Best Buy has an incredible e-waste recycling program. They'll accept almost any electronic gadget, working or broken, no matter who made it, at any of their stores:
...we'll take just about anything electronic, including TVs, DVD players, computer monitors, cell phones and more. You can bring in up to two items a day, per household, and most things are absolutely free. However, there is a $10 charge for TVs 32" and under, CRTs, monitors and laptops - but we'll give you a $10 Best Buy gift card to offset that cost. It's just a little e-incarnation appreciation.
They work with vetted third party recyclers to make sure the stuff you bring in doesn't "end up in landfills or in foreign countries, and that all hazardous materials are disposed of properly." There's a list of their recycling partners in this pop-up if you want to vet them yourself. The products they get are repaired or broken down and repurposed. Some, it seems, become interesting billboards (see above).I'm not sure if this is the absolute best thing you can do with old electronics, but it certainly goes a vary long way towards making e-cycling convenient.Via Fast Company.
