Inspire Community College Students to Pursue Their Dreams, Win a Scholarship

While there's plenty of attention paid to whether high school students graduate and head off to college, ensuring they actually finish their studies so they can pursue their dreams is just as crucial. What doesn't always help make that happen is forcing students to hear adults drone on and on about staying in school, so who better to inspire them to persist than their peers?

To that end, GOOD Maker has teamed up with Achieving the Dream, a national nonprofit that helps more community college students—particularly students from low income and minority backgrounds—stay in school and earn the credentials they need. For this challenge, Dream Big for College and Your Future, we're looking for video submissions from current Achieving the Dream community college students that tell inspiring, personal stories—like, what's your dream job and how's your school helping you get there—that'll help others stay on track.

Not only could your video help inspire someone stay in school, it might also help you pay for your education. We're giving away scholarships awards to the three best submissions. You'll find all the details here, but make sure you act now because the submission deadline is November 13, 2012.
