Nintendo Set To Relaunch Its Classic NES System

The hottest system is 30-years-old.

This week, Pokemon is the hottest thing around, a Clinton is running for president, and Blink-182 has a number one album on the Billboard charts. It must be the ‘90s again, right? Given America’s recent bouts with mass shootings, terrorism, and the Trump candidacy, a return to the days of relative peace and a bomming economy don’t sound so bad afterall. Well, today’s announcement out of Japan means another lynchpin of ‘90s nostalgia is making a comeback: the Nintendo Entertainment System.

Today, Nintendo announced its upcoming relaunch of the original NES. But this time the system won’t require any cartridges you need to blow into to get started, it will come with 30 preloaded in the system. Plus, the new NES will be the size of an adult human hand and connects to your TV via HDMI cable. The retro game system will be available for around $60 and should hit the shelves in November, just in time for the holidays.
