Orbitz Explores Its Sexuality
Check out this recent ad from Orbitz and keep your eyes peeled for subversive threats to society.[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uitu0CLyIADid you catch that? See the guy in the blue polo? That symbol on his shirt is the logo for the Human Rights Campaign, a gay and lesbian advocacy group. And in the background? That's a rainbow flag towel on the golf bag. This isn't the first Orbitz ad to acknowledge the existence of homosexuality. A more obviously gay Orbitz spot ran in 2003 during episodes of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. This one has a wider run though, and it's more a symbol of support than an ad targeted at gay guys. Nice work, folks. And if you're offended by the ad, well, you don't have to get a check back when the price of your hotel room falls. Thanks, Atley.
