From reader J*Luu: a mix about the state of the nation with an amateur ethic. Distorted guitars, live drums, tender sincerity and angry histrionics, all in copious quantities.
We found it to be pretty damn rockable. The New Pornographers are office favorites and it's hard to resist the pop power of Jimmy Eat World (witness: The Middle).J*Luu writes:"... it's a mix about our country. I got my nine year old nephew to draw up the cover.... It depicts themes that are present throughout: president-as-ape and fire/burning/explosion.... The end of the mix leaves you in hopeful, upward-looking territory. I hope you enjoy..."We did. And nephew, we love the apes scaling the volcano.
