Obama loves the internet. He just launched another website, Recovery.gov, to track the $787 billion from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.The site promises to follow the disbursement of the stimulus funds in pretty high detail and make the information public. Assuming it does, that'll not only help Americans understand the rationale of the bill and evaluate its success (if it's a flop, we'll know not to do that again), but also reassure us that the White House itself knows what's happening with the money. With Bush you could never be sure if the lack of transparency was due to secrecy or incompetence.
