If your city's crappy bike infrastructure is making it hard to cycle as much as you want, check out Ride the City. It's an iPhone app that will give you a good bike route between any two destinations in New York City, Austin, Chicago, Louisville, San Diego, Seattle, San Francisco, Toronto, or Washington, D.C. The app gives preference to low-traffic streets and ones with dedicated bike lanes and is refined by feedback from actual cyclists. Also, their map data comes from OpenStreetMap, a volunteer community mapping project, so that's nice. If you want to check it out before buying it (it's $1.99) there are also web versions.
