I guess I am not the only person who has been sleeping poorly. Ever since Saddam Hussein was captured, life has been a little less pleasant. Sure, he was stuck in a secret jail in the middle of Iraq, guarded by what must have been hundreds of highly-trained well-equipped US soldiers, but one thought could never leave my head: What if he escaped, came to America, and chose me as the one American person upon whom he would take revenge for his ouster and humiliation? I sat up many a terrified night-kitchen knife by my side-waiting for Saddam's crazed visage to peer through my window before he broke in and killed me in cold blood. Now that Saddam has been executed, I finally feel as though I can sleep soundly, as this imminent threat to my life has passed. Thank god.
