For centuries, people have believed that liquid nitrogen has only one application: freezing time-traveling robot assassins who then become unfrozen but are malfunctioning just enough for you to eventually defeat them, provided you have the help of an earlier-model robot assassin who's been sent back to protect you and may or may not have learned how to love in the process (see below example). However, according to this awesome Popsci piece, you can also use liquid nitrogen to make ice cream and other culinary wonders. Zounds, what a time to be alive!
