The Waxman-Markey Climate and Energy Bill, which The New York Times calls "the most ambitious energy and global warming legislation ever debated in Congress" was approved by the House Energy and Commerce Committee today. For opponents of pollution and environmental catastrophe, this is good news. But the bill still has a long way to go.
