Senate races are going on too. In Colorado, Bob Schaffer (R) is fighting for an open seat against Mark Udall (D). In this video, captured yesterday before their debate, Shaffer complains when he's told he can't use notes. Schaffer speaks first, then the moderator, then Udall.[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVYh_hFsYU4Obviously, this makes Schaffer look pretty bad. But generally, should debates be off-book? Or does that only require candidates to memorize their talking points instead of reading them?
