Bernie’s new ad is going viral.
In his first bona fide viral YouTube ad, Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders combines footage of his ardent fan base with Simon and Garfunkle’s “America” to illustrate his growing numbers of supporters. The ad is unique in that Sanders doesn’t speak until the very end, where he delivers the mandated “I approved this message.” It also serves as stark contrast to his political rivals in that this message is focused on everyday citizens (as opposed to making it about himself). According to the rocketing number of views the video is getting on YouTube, it appears to be a success. But only time will tell if it translates to actual votes.
