Here's another new electric car charging station design to check out. It's the Blink, by frog design, and it's being produced by a company called ECOtality. It's what's known as a Level II charger (about 10 times as fast as a wall outlet) and comes in both residential and commercial flavors.

As far as I can tell, the most significant design difference between the Blink and Yves Behar's Wattstation, aside from the fact that there's a wall-mounted residential version of the Blink, is that the Wattstation has a mechanically retracting cord.
From what I've seen, I prefer the Blink, but they seem quite similar. Both firms, for example, were explicit about wanting to design something that was welcoming and didn't "intimidate" people.

Otis knew before they did.
