In the Obvious Department, it turns out people who live in places with higher population density drive less. It's still pretty shocking how much time people spend in their cars. In case you missed it, the NYT reported last weekend how the amount of time people spend driving is forcing them to eat in their cars more frequently, which in turn is forcing them to eat things such as chemically treated apple slices.
