While visiting the editorial board meeting of The Conway Daily Sun in New Hampshire, Hilary Clinton said she’s curious about close encounters of the third kind.

After answering questions about the economy and national security, she chatted with reporter Daymond Steer, who had talked with her about UFOs back in 2007. At the time, Clinton told the reporter that most of the freedom-of-information requests that her husband, former President Bill Clinton, received at his library were on the topic of UFOs. Clinton recalled the conversation, and said, “Yes, I'm going to get to the bottom of it.”

Clinton mentioned that her campaign chairman, John Podesta, is a UFO and science fiction enthusiast who has made her pledge to uncover any government information, X-Files-style. “Maybe we could have, like, a task force to go to Area 51,” Clinton said, referring to the infamous military base in Nevada rumored to store evidence of extraterrestrial life.

Steer described Clinton as enthusiastic about the subject, having “fun” while chatting, but not in a dismissive way. "I think we may have been (visited already). We don't know for sure,” Clinton said.
