Rather than haranguing people like Richard Dawkins, They Might Be Giants make clever songs to convince kids that "science is real." Call it indoctrination if you want, but it bodes well for the future of American engineering.
The reality of science gets a bit more complicated when you start reading Thomas Kuhn, but if the public debate ever gets to that level we'll be in good shape as a society.
