Often times, philanthropic institutions are operating at levels to which the average person on the street just isn't privy. The Case Foundation is working to change that (and we're sponsoring them). With their new "Make Your Own Awards" they will be giving a variety of grants from $100 to $35,000 to "individuals, and individuals working with small organizations and groups, who join together to imagine and implement innovative ideas and solutions that lay the groundwork for long-term social change." You can submit your proposal on their website right now, and the top 100 will be announced in September. Then voting will commence, and the internet will decide the top entries.
