As soon as we saw the "Obama: The Biggest Celebrity in the World" campaign ad for McCain last week, we knew there was something hysterically wrong with it.
A brief glance at McCain's bad-ass IMDB profile (which even includes the movie Wedding Crashers) alludes to his own personal familiarity with celebrity, and Jon Stewart covers all the other bases, with his more-than-allusions to McCain's personal familiarity with Paris Hilton, impossible promises, and being totally outrageously full of himself in the Daily Show's "Dick Move of the Week" rebuttal. We recommend.
Why this desperately ineffective angle of attack? Maybe McCain's celeb-envy was born of being super jealous that celebrity hottie Scarlett Johansson is, like, seriously crushing on Barack. Boys will be boys.
