The Olympic torch cannot get a break. Protesters, angry about China's handling of Tibet, Burma, or human rights in general, dogged the flame in London, Paris, and San Francisco. It looked as if the current stop, Argentina, might be calmer. Not so.

In France and San Francisco authorities dealt with the protests by literally running away. Once the games start in Beijing in August that won't be an option. How's China going to handle them with the whole world watching?
