By mid to late summer, many magazines' and blogs' best-of-the-year lists begin to resemble each other. And while we're still going bananas over Lil Wayne and Wolf Parade, we don't need anyone else to tell us to check them out. However, Pitchfork just posted a list of some of this year's best overlooked records, including work by Black Mountain, The Mae Shi, and Eryka Badu. It's a great collection, but it can't be definitive. What other albums have been overlooked by the mainstream music press this year? Let us know in the comments.
