There's been some controversy around Shepard Fairey of late (and by "of late," I mean "forever"), including his recent arrest in Boston on trumped-up vandalism charges, as well as a fascinating fair-use debate revolving around his iconic election-winning Obama poster (too much credit?). Either way, his martyr index just went through the roof, which is why WWF is probably thrilled that it booked him for its Earth Hour campaign.What is Earth Hour, you ask? A campaign to raise awareness about climate change, in which thousands of people in hundreds of cities in dozens of countries agree to all turn their lights off at 8:30 p.m. local time, March 28th, in solidarity with the cause.
