If you haven't done your taxes yet and you intend to (highly recommended), may we suggest you take a peek at a Newsweek piece about deductions and breaks you've probably never heard of?The list is interesting because it reminds us how curious our tax code is, and also because it highlights parts of the American experience you might not always think about. Like, for example, people who use clarinets as medical instruments, or those of us who build fish tackle boxes for a living. There's also a break for artists who sell their catalogs, and parents whose children are kidnapped.And no, we don't qualify for any of these either, but it's interesting nonetheless.
