In this case, the answer would be the living room floor. The designer Joel Hester is re-purposing the hoods of vintage automobiles by transforming them into coffee tables. The tables aren't cheap ($850 and up), but they do achieve a combination of stunning and masculine that most furniture never quite nails. Three cheers for heavy metal chic!
