This is one of those things that deserves to be shared like crazy.
While many cities do a decent job of making their public spaces accessible to people in wheelchairs, there’s much, much more that could be done to make their lives more livable. But until that day comes, we’ll have to rely on genius inventions — like the FreeWheel. Recently debuting at the Abilities Expo and published on the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation’s YouTube Channel, the simple (yet brilliant) device enables a traditional wheelchair to freely move across areas and objects previously innaccessible to the chairs.
