Do you want to give back to a community in need, in a way not possible when just traveling in a country as a regular tourist? Do you have knowledge and skills to share? GOOD Maker and travel2change want you to submit a creative idea linking your passion with the purpose of making good happen through travel. The most inspiring submission will be rewarded with $1,000 to go on a travel2change trip to make the idea a reality.
The Use Travel For Good challenge asks travelers to submit creative ideas that will benefit a local community around the world. Your idea can be as simple as implementing a sporting, artistic or social activity within a community. Or it could be more adventurous, like giving surfing lessons to children in Brazil, holding workshops for young women in Uganda, or empowering Sri Lankan families to help their children get to school.
We want to make the best idea happen, so don’t be afraid to put your boldest, most creative idea forward. Now is the time to extend your reach to the global community.
Submissions for the Use Travel For Good challenge will be accepted until October 31, 2012 at 12 p.m. PST. Voting will be open from November 1 to November 15 at 12 p.m. PST.
