In the last ditch effort to make the state of California economically viable after boldly failing at that goal for years, the Assembly and State Senate agreed on a budget, and Governor Schwarzenegger just made some tiny last minute cuts to make it all balance out. What did he take out?"The cuts include slashing $25 million from health clinics; $52 million from AIDS prevention, education and treatment programs; $16 million from domestic violence programs; $50 million from Healthy Families, which provides health insurance for poor children; and $37.6 million from In-Home Supportive Services."I guess those IOUs to poor people weren't enough. But don't worry, the governor, elected officials, and various other state officials will still draw their salaries and get their health care benefits, despite the fact that they've run an entire state into the ground. Why is there no campaign in the state for a massive recall of all the schlubs working in Sacramento? Just not giving them a raise? That's not really enough.
