The New York Times has a good infographic depicting Europe's "web of debt" (although it it looks more like a pentagon with five countries in especially bad shape: Italy, Portugal, Spain, Ireland, and Greece.) Greece's profligate borrowing has necessitated a bailout and domestic "austerity measures," which have in turn caused deadly protests today. Bad news.
