Now you won't have any excuses for not knowing how much cash you've got in the bank.
Things are easier said than done, or so the old adage goes, and we couldn't agree more. That's why we do The GOOD 30-Day Challenge (#30DaysofGOOD), a monthly attempt to live better. Our challenge for January?Financial Fitness.
Set up online banking.
Once you've located your accounts, you should be able to access them online. At the very least, create an online profile for the one account you use the most, most likely a checking account where your paychecks are deposited. Knowing how your money is flowing in and out of your account can help you budget, cut back on expenses, and minimize the damage caused by fraud.
If you haven't already set up online banking, now is the time. It's easy, paperless, and sometimes even fun. Search your bank's website for the online banking option—it's usually pretty prominent. Many even have apps available so you can check your money on the go. Now you won't have any excuses for not knowing how much cash you've got in the bank.
And come back tomorrow for the next task in our financial fitness challenge.
