Gas Costs Spur Changes

Gas is expensive. Maybe you've heard? Or paid? And companies are starting to take notice. GM is ramping up construction of small cars and may even drop the Hummer from its roster. The airline industry is also scrambling, making many changes small (washing planes more frequently to cut wind resistance) and large, like exploring making people pay for their tickets by weight, which is something we drastically support since we've never understood why a large-sized item of clothing costs the same as a small, and its the same principle.Side note: GM lost 38 billion dollars last year. It hasn't turned a profit since 2004. How can a company like that be in business. Nice free market for you.
