If Meat Eaters Acted Like Vegans

‘Broccoli? That’s what my food eats.’

As famous vegans Bill Clinton, Mike Tyson, and Beyoncé will tell you, there are fantastic health benefits to a plant-based diet. Going vegan helps mitigate some of the world’s biggest health issues, including: obesity, heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. Plus, it’s a more humane lifestyle because it doesn’t support the slaughtering of animals. But even though they’ve chosen a healthier, more empathetic existence, vegans have the reputation for being a bit smug about their lifestyle choice.

In the video above, spiritual satirist JP Sears turns the tables on vegans showing how they appear to meat eaters. “I could never eat plants that are raised on crowded farms and inhumane living conditions...stuck in the soil against their will,” Sears pompously explains to a friend. The video also pokes fun at how pointless it is to try and change others be being overly preachy. “As he redundantly repeated his emotionally-charged nutritional opinions at me, I was instantly convinced to become a meat-eater,” Sears’ friend admits.

That being said, if you’re looking to go vegan, here’s PETA’s tips on how to get started.
