Impalin' McCain

John McCain likes it when things are interpreted strictly-you know, such as the constitution. Well, here's a strict interpretation of the word "lie": a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional untruth; a falsehood.During McCain's appearance on The View, he said that his running mate, Sarah Palin, didn't put in earmarks as Governor of Alaska. That is a lie. The truth is that she requested 52 earmarks valued at $256 million (31 at $197 million this year). This is outrageous! Why isn't he being taken to task for this?Just for fun, and because there are untruths being uttered on both sides of the red-blue divide, here's a link to a site that enumerates and explains the lies that both McCain and Obama have told this election season.Photo: Steve Fenn/Reuters, via ABC (via NYTimes), sort of.
