Infographic: Global Shortfall in Health Workers

The Guardian's infographic map shows the 57 countries with a critical shortfall in health workers: fewer than 23 per 10,000 people.

The World Health Organisation and The Guardian report that there are 57 countries with critical health worker shortfalls. The WHO considers countries with less than 23 health workers per 10,000 people a nation with a critical shortage in health employees. The Guardian created an incredibly useful interactive graphic showing the shortfalls in each respective country and placed them in direct comparison with the United States and the United Kingdom.
