Don Milani di Rivoli elementary school in Turin, Italy, will eschew the use of text books in favor of water-proof, mini-laptops for its 60 students. The decision to switch from traditional books to computers is part of a year-long experiment to determine whether a personal computer (which is less expensive than a year's worth of books) can improve student learning.
