Peak Water

You know how we're all concerned about America's dependence on foreign oil? Well in oil-rich Saudi Arabia they're becoming increasingly dependent on foreign food-they just don't have enough water to grow their own.

They're building multi-billion dollar desalination plants as fast as they can, but with their "fossil water" supply depleted, they're still being forced to eliminate agriculture subsidies.

They plan to rely entirely on foreign food imports by 2012.
