Mitt Romney is "suspending" his presidential campaign. We're not sure how that differs from "dropping out of the race," but we'll go ahead and predict McCain becomes the republican nominee.
After thanking conservative talk radio for all the good they do and taking some adolescent jabs at France (always a crowd-pleaser) he said he got into the race because the thought of America no longer being the world's only superpower was "unthinkable." Contrast that with this awesome (but long) piece by Parag Khanna (a GOOD contributor) arguing that–thinkable or not–the international scene will soon be characterized by a tug-of-war between three huge regional supernations, Orwell-style.
