What is Miley Cyrus doing now?

When Miley Cyrus brought homeless runaway Jesse Helt to the MTV Video Music Awards last year, many dismissed it as a publicity stunt. It now appears, however, that it was just the beginning of the controversial pop star’s serious fight to help homeless youth. Using the power of her celebrity and social media, The Happy Hippie Foundation is bringing awareness to a huge audience and offering support to those in need. In this interview with Good Morning America, Miley discusses the foundation in more detail, as well as her concern for LBGTQ youth. We’ll just have to wait and see what Miley Cyrus the philanthropist will do next.

The Australian bushfires have claimed 27 human lives, an estimated 1 billion animals are feared dead, and thousands of properties have been completely decimated.

The fires were caused by extreme heat and dryness, the result of 2019 being the country's hottest year on record, with average temperatures 1.52C above the 1961-1990 average.

The area hit hardest by the fires, New South Wales, also had its hottest year on record, with temperatures rising 1.95C above average.
