You may have noticed some changes around the GOOD website recently. If so: good eye! We rolled out a design update yesterday.
The biggest change is in the top navigation. In the first two drop-down menus up there you can check the latest stuff we've published by category or navigate to GOOD columnists. The "Fun Stuff" tab has our original infographics, videos, Picture Shows, and magazine archives. The "Participate" menu has a permanent link to all of our Projects. This is a big improvement, because the Projects were hard to find before and they're posts people want to return to. That menu also lets you navigate to our Community Board and see the events we've posted about.
Below the navigation, you'll see that the layout for the main features has changed a bit. The differences are obvious. We have a slideshow with bigger pictures now and some "Featured Contributors" to the side.
People who want to get more involved in the GOOD community should also know this: If you write a post (under the "Participate" menu) and tag it with the name of one of the "Topics," then it will show up with all of the other posts by our pros. Have fun! But remember: With great power comes great responsibility.
There were a bunch of other changes in the background that are much more technical and involve lots of acronyms and computer talk. We at the editorial desk aren't qualified to describe them, but if you want to know more, drop a comment below and someone on the technology team will get back to you.
