Fortune just released its list of the 50 Most Admired Companies. As you can see from the regrettably projected Google Map image-which shows the locations of the companies' headquarters-there are, apparently, no admirable companies in South America, Africa, Australia, or Antarctica. At least, there aren't any in the top 50. You know, for having an economy that's so thoroughly floundering, the United States (and its business) sure is getting a lot of props here. One might be tempted to cry states-centric shenanigans on Fortune. Here's the top ten:1. Apple2. Berkshire Hathaway3. Toyota Motor4. Google5. Johnson & Johnson6. Procter & Gamble7. Tie: FedEx, Southwest Airlines9. General Electric10. MicrosoftWe intend to make the list next year, preferably somewhere in the top 15. Suggestions for how we can become more (nay, most) admirable are welcome and encouraged.
