Welcome to The GOOD 30-Day Challenge (#30DaysofGOOD). Each month, we challenge our community members to do something that will improve the world around us—and our own lives. The challenge for September? To connect with other people. In an effort to help us all rise to the occasion, we're going to assign one small task every day. Each morning, we will post the challenge on GOOD.is and Twitter, along with a testimonial from someone on the GOOD team who's already completed it. We invite you to complete all 30 mini-challenges with us! Today, we challenge you to:

Send a friend three links they'll love.

My lifelong best friend is an art therapist who doesn't spend much time on the internet. By the standards of how often some of my other friends are online, she's a total outlier. As I'm scrolling through Tumblr and combing through my Google Reader, I've made a habit of bookmarking things that she'd love. Ruminations on art, vintage film stills, little webcomics that speak to one of our inside jokes. I send them all to her Yahoo email address, and it's become a way for us to keep in touch—even though she's never on G-chat or popping up in my Twitter feed.

I also, for the purposes of this challenge, sent my friend Rebecca three photos of Justin Timberlake, to which she responded, "oh. my. god. what. a. delight."
