New Criterion follows the logic of the European Union to its conclusion: No more countries. It's a futuristic view of Star Trek-ian proportions, but will it actual happen? For one thing, the EU has chosen a pretty exclusionary name. Once they add Turkey, it's going to become problematic to expand anymore.
