Vanity Fair asked 52 "experts" to each pick the best five works of architecture since 1980 and has a photo gallery of the 20 most popular selections. Frank Gehry's Bilbao museum tops the list. And while I was a little surprised to see such a popular favorite was also the critics' choice, architecture's The Blue Album is followed by a host of stunning Pinkertons that I had never heard of, including the thermal baths in Vals, Switzerland, designed by Peter Zumthor (#3 on the list and pictured above). The collection is a lot of fun to look through, even if the structures don't all conform to Passivhaus standards.
