We threw a get-together with one of our Choose GOOD partners, Kiva, in New York last night. Kiva, if you haven't heard, is a brilliant online service that matches microlenders with microborrowers (N.B. people involved are normal sized; cash amounts are small).
Kiva's Jessica Flannery explains.
About 350 people showed up. There was a simulation of how Kiva transactions work. And there were drinks.
We were joined by Matt Stinchcomb from Etsy, Sarah Endline, the founder of sweetriot, Natalie Portman, Adam Baruchowitz from Heeb, GOOD contributor Jonathan Harris (who currently has a piece in MOMA's Design and the Elastic Mind show), David Benjamin from Architectural/Design duo The Living, and documentary filmmaker Lee Hirsch.
